October 7, 2026: WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS FOR ISRAEL — Three Years Since the Massacre — Key Prayer Points!!
Today, October 7, 2026, marks three years since the darkest day in Israel's modern history.
Three years ago, at 6:29 a.m. on the morning of Simchat Torah — the joyful feast celebrating the completion of the Torah — Hamas terrorists breached the fence and launched the deadliest massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust. Over 1,200 men, women, children, infants and elderly were brutally murdered. Hundreds more were sexually violated. Two hundred and fifty-one souls were dragged into the darkness of Gaza. Soldiers fell defending the land.
Today, Israel lowered its flags to half-mast. Families buried their grief again. The names of the fallen were spoken aloud.
We are called to be Watchmen on the Walls. Not only when it is convenient. Especially on days like this.
"On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD shall take no rest for yourselves, nor give Him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." Isaiah 62:6-7
Prayer isn't just about hope — it's about action. It's about standing in the gap for a people who have suffered immeasurably, and trusting ADONAI to hear every cry lifted to Him. Today, we honour the fallen, we remember the wounded, and we intercede for the complete victory and healing of Israel.
"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer." 1 Peter 3:12

Here are the key prayer points for this week, as we intercede for Israel at this critical time:
1) Pray for the heroic Captain Smit Machchhar and for all survivors of the FlyDubai terror attack — and give thanks for the miracle in the skies.
This past week, the world watched as ADONAI's hand of deliverance moved in the skies above Saudi Arabia. Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami, in a premeditated jihadist attack, assaulted Captain Smit Machchhar mid-flight with an axe, intending to crash Flight FZ1073 into Ben Gurion Airport — in what Israeli officials described as a potentially 9/11-scale catastrophe. The flight carried 166 Israeli passengers, including 27 children.
But ADONAI had already prepared the provision. Israeli passengers rushed forward and subdued the attacker. Trained British pilots happened to be onboard. The cockpit door opened at precisely the right moment. The plane landed safely.
As it touched down, Israeli passengers aboard sang "Am Yisrael Chai" — The People of Israel Live.
"The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them." Psalm 34:7
LORD, we give You all the glory for this extraordinary miracle! Every life saved on that flight is a testimony to Your faithfulness and protection over Your people!
We lift up Captain Smit Machchhar to You — this brave pilot from India who fought through his injuries to open that cockpit door and save 174 lives. ADONAI ROPHECHA, we speak complete healing over him, body, mind and spirit! In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
LORD, we pray that this attempted terror attack would open eyes around the world to the ongoing jihadist threat against Israel and against all who stand with her. Cause the TRUTH to go far and wide — cutting through the media silence and downplaying — and open hearts to see clearly what Israel faces every single day. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
2) Pray for Neriyah Leiter — son of Israel's Ambassador to the United States — seriously wounded in a terrorist car-ramming attack.
Neriyah Leiter, son of Israel's Ambassador Yechiel Leiter, was critically wounded in a car-ramming terrorist attack on Route 443. He underwent several hours of emergency brain surgery and remained in life-threatening condition. His father, Ambassador Leiter, has already lost one son — Major Moshe Yedidya Leiter, killed in battle in northern Gaza in November 2023.
The Ambassador released a message asking for prayer:
"My family joins me in thanking everyone for their prayers and support. Neriyah's life still hangs in the balance but we've seen some promising signs that we grasp in hope. We believe in the power of prayer, that God hears prayer and can heal when healing appears impossible."

LORD, surround the Leiter family with Your supernatural peace and comfort during this unbearable season. A family that has already given so much for Israel — now standing at the edge of losing another son. Draw near to them, Oh GOD! As You have promised, in Psalm 34:18: "The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
3) Pray against the rising tide of antisemitism, and for protection over Jewish communities in Canada and around the world — including the Yom Kippur synagogue shooting in Belleville, Ontario.
Last Sunday, as worshippers gathered inside Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario for Yom Kippur services, 29-year-old Sean Ward arrived outside and opened fire with a shotgun at a police officer stationed at the entrance. Approximately 25 people were inside. Congregants rushed to the auditorium, shut the doors and dropped to the floor. No one inside was hurt. Police Constable Jeff Smith, a 13-year veteran described by the congregation as "the hero who saved our lives," was wounded but survived.
This is not an isolated event. Antisemitic physical assaults in Britain alone have soared 82%, reaching their highest six-month total on record. Jewish students are reporting higher levels of harassment on campuses worldwide as a new school year begins.
"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Genesis 12:3
ADONAI, You are not a man that You should lie! You have declared this covenant, and You will honour it!
LORD, we plead the BLOOD of YESHUA over every synagogue, every Jewish school, every Jewish community centre, every campus Hillel — in Canada, in the United States, in Britain, and around the world! We command every spirit of antisemitism to be rendered POWERLESS AND VOID right now, in the MIGHTY NAME OF YESHUA HA'MASHIACH!
ADONAI, we pray for Constable Jeff Smith — speak healing over him and reward his courage. And we pray for the young man who opened fire: LORD, bring deep conviction into his heart. Loose Your spirit of repentance upon him. Only You can reach those darkened places. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
4) Pray for the IDF and for the ongoing elimination of terrorist leadership in Gaza and across the region.
This week, the IDF and Shin Bet achieved a significant blow against Hamas, eliminating the commander of Hamas' Rafah Brigade, Nael Abu Obeid (also known as Abu Atiya), in an airstrike in southern Gaza. Abu Obeid had been working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities in Rafah and advance further attacks against Israel. The IDF also eliminated the terrorist Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr — the very man who drove the motorcycle used to abduct Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival on October 7th.
Additionally, the IDF revealed that 170 individuals presented to the world as innocent journalists killed during the war were in fact military operatives for Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations. Major media outlets, including Reuters, CNN and the BBC, had employed these individuals.
Prime Minister Netanyahu declared: "No terrorist is immune, and Hamas will not be in Gaza."
LORD, we praise You for each and every mission that has successfully eliminated these terrorist leaders! ADONAI TZ'EVAOT — LORD of Hosts — continue to give the IDF supernatural wisdom, divine strategies and precise intelligence in locating and neutralizing every terrorist that participated in the October 7th massacre. Not one shall escape Your justice. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
We lift up every IDF soldier — land, sea, air, border patrol and intelligence — to You, ADONAI. Place a supernatural hedge of protection around each one. Go before them. Guard their every step. As You promised in Deuteronomy 31:8:
"He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8

5) Pray for wisdom and discernment over the Board of Peace negotiations and Gaza's future governance.
The international Board of Peace has presented a roadmap for Gaza based on the full disarmament of Hamas, transitional governance and the deployment of an international security force. Morocco has already been contracted to establish a military outpost. Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared that the IDF will not withdraw from any area of Gaza until Hamas is genuinely and completely disarmed — not sham disarmament.
Netanyahu stated: "We know how to stand our ground on these matters. We have proven it in the past, and we are proving it again today."
Meanwhile, negotiations with the United States and mediators Egypt, Qatar and Turkey are ongoing — as are concerns about the long-term integrity of any agreement Hamas enters into.
"The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps." Proverbs 16:9
LORD, Your Kingdom come, Your will being done in every negotiation as it is in heaven! We take authority over all deception, manipulation and hidden agendas in these discussions! We render every trap of the enemy powerless and void, in the MIGHTY NAME OF YESHUA!
ADONAI, fill Netanyahu and his war cabinet with supernatural wisdom and discernment — the spirit of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do (1 Chronicles 12:32). Give them the clarity to identify every false agreement and the courage to refuse it. And raise up genuine partners for peace — leaders across the region who truly desire the safety and flourishing of all. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
6) Pray against Iran's continuing efforts to rebuild its nuclear program and its proxy network.
Satellite imagery from September 2026 confirmed that Iran has been rapidly rebuilding the Taleghan 2 facility at the Parchin military complex — the site previously struck by Israel in October 2024 and again in March 2026. Iran has now erected tarps to hide reconstruction activity from aerial surveillance. Construction vehicles and cranes are actively working to restore the site.
At the same time, Iran's Supreme Leader continued to issue threats against Israel, the United States, and Gulf nations. Iranian state media aired a video threatening members of President Trump's family.
"Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him." Psalm 68:1
ADONAI TZ'EVAOT, we declare that NO weapon formed against Israel or Western civilization shall prosper! And every tongue that rises in judgment against Israel, You shall condemn! This is the heritage of the servants of ADONAI! In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
LORD, we pray for President Trump and his administration — give them divine wisdom and a sensitivity to Your RUACH HA'KODESH in every decision regarding Iran. As You promised in Isaiah 30:21: "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'" Lead them, Oh GOD. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
7) SPECIAL PRAYER POINT — October 7, 2026: Three Years On — For the Fallen, the Wounded, and the Healing of Israel
Today we set apart this prayer point for the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre.
1,200 souls were taken from this earth in a single morning. Babies in their cribs. Grandparents in their homes. Young people at a music festival. People who had done nothing to provoke anyone against them, but simply because they exist as Jews in their homeland.
At the state memorial ceremony on Mount Herzl today, Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the bereaved families:
"The fallen who were giants: giants in deed and giants in spirit... We will protect our home from the beasts of prey that surround us. And we will do so together, shoulder to shoulder."
The father of one fallen soldier said: "We mourn not only what was — but also what will no longer be."
We stand with every grieving family today. We stand with every survivor still carrying the trauma of that morning.

ABBA FATHER, on this third anniversary, we come before Your throne weeping for the people of Israel and for all who were devastated by October 7th.
We honour every soul who was murdered: the men, the women, the children, the elderly, the soldiers. Their blood cries out from the ground, and You hear it, Oh LORD. We ask for JUSTICE, complete and total, for every perpetrator — visible and invisible, every planner, every commander, every funder, every handler. Let not one escape Your reckoning. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
We pray for the survivors — those who escaped with their bodies but not their peace. For the nightmares, the flashbacks, the PTSD that ambushes them every day. YESHUA, You are ADONAI ROPHECHA — the God who heals. Come into those places that no doctor can reach. Touch their broken minds. Restore their ravaged hearts. As You promised:
"He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners — to proclaim the year of the LORD's favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn... to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." Isaiah 61:1-3
Crown them with beauty instead of ashes, ADONAI. Oil of joy instead of mourning. A garment of praise.
And LORD — on this day of tears — we ask also that this tragedy would awaken within Your people a desire to draw near to You. As You have declared in Ecclesiastes 3:11: "He has set eternity in the human heart." Stir up that eternity! Let October 7th not only be remembered as the day of the wound — but as the day that turned the hearts of Your people back to You, Oh GOD!
Bring forth a great spiritual awakening in Israel. Lift the veil from Jewish eyes and let them see their MESSIAH YESHUA. Cause the Truth of YESHUA to set them FREE — and may Israel's darkest hour become the doorway to her greatest dawn. In YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME! AMEN and AMEN!
